How were you introduced to CrossFit & How long have you been doing CrossFit?

In 2012, I was coaching a friend of mine for his “special forces entry tests” and I was using functional fitness and he told me that what he watched something on YouTube that looked like what we were doing. I checked it out when I got home and I immediately knew I wanted to do that. Being a tad extreme, two weeks later I went on a trip in California to learn about CrossFit which at that time in france was almost unknown. I got beat up in every single workout at first and that was the spark I needed in my training, I wanted to be able to do what this guys were doing.

What made you decide to join our Gym?

I knew about the gym because Lucas Parker was training here and it’s the really first gym I checked when I moved from france and the people made me join. Colosseum is an amazing community

Favourite Lifts/ WODs? Why?

Lift: squat clean

WOD: I  would say “Fran” but it’s a hate love relationship between us. I love it because I’m decent at it but hate it because it hurts lol

3 Things you would find in my fridge?

Grass fed beef

What is your guilty pleasure?

I would say travelling

Proudest Accomplishments?

Being the founder of multiple CrossFit gyms in the south west of france that are still open, brought CrossFit in my city when it wasn’t a thing and being the beginning of such an amazing community of people is pretty rad lol

In a more spiritual note, learning that you get to decide who you want to be in life. Even when things are not going your way, you get to decide how you going to react to it. Life is like a cold shower, you can run away and avoid the suffering part of it and prioritize comfort but you will never experience the benefits of it by making that decision

Something people wouldn’t know about me?

I moved to Canada in the middle of the pandemic, I didn’t know anyone, no family, no job, nothing. Thankfully it paid off

What music I like listening to while working out?

“Going the distance” (Rocky soundtrack) you can ask Jose lol
