I’m in the process of re-reading “On Combat” by David Grossman and I came across a quote that in my opinion hits the nail on the head with regards to CrossFit.
” In combat, you don’t rise to the occasion, you sink to the level of training ” if your not in the military or and EMS worker exchange combat with life.
A lot of people dick around in the local “Globo gym”. A bicep curl or using the pec deck don’t mimic anything in life. Standing around the and waiting to use a machine only prepares you to stand around the water cooler, and it t sure as hell doesn’t improve your General Physical Preparedness (GPP).
Using the CrossFit method will prepare you for what ever life throws your way, good or bad.
