Occupation: Product Developer in Dairy
How were you introduced to CrossFit & How long have you been doing CrossFit? My sister introduced me to crossfit and I signed up just over a year ago.
What made you decide to join our Gym? I had done some weight lifting before and I knew that the right atmosphere was going to be the most important thing. I loved the amount of space and equipment the gym had and my first workout convinced me that this was a group I wanted to workout and train with.
Favourite Lifts/ Wods? Why? Clean and Jerk- If you asked me 3 years ago if I would weight lift I would have told you were crazy. When I started lifting I loved the feeling of finishing the lift and hitting that lockout at the end.
3 Things you would definitely find in my fridge Pickles, peppers, and eggs (although eggs are a hot commodity in my house, it seems like I’m constantly running out!)
What is your guilty pleasure? Lately it has been playing video games. I generally feel like I constantly have to be doing something (working out, regular work, chores around the house). Taking an hour on a weekend to just chill out on the couch helps me relax and unwind.
Proudest Accomplishments: ever Kind of broad but I am proudest of how I have become more active in the past year. I used to be that person where I’d go hard for a couple months then didn’t even go in enough to cancel my membership. In the past year I’ve been going and even better enjoying it. I’ve added in running and horseback riding, and feel much happier for it. I’m so proud that instead of giving up like I always used to I stuck with it.
Something people wouldn’t know about me: I love peanut butter and I love jam, but I absolutely cannot eat them together (sorry PB&J lovers!)
What music I like listening to while working out: Anything I can dance to
